Hamilton is a beautiful miniature wire-haired Dachshund with a fleck of blue in his eyes and a lot of love in his heart. He's still a bit shy but comes into his own quickly. Hamilton is as sweet as he is cute, and he's very good with new people once he gets over his initial shyness.  Because he was initially brought to the shelter as one of a group of strays, Hamilton will need a home with a very secure yard and cannot be outside unattended. He's not used to being the only dog and does better with a doxie friend his size. Hamilton is a young man with plenty of energy who should build confidence quickly in a home with lots of love and positive reinforcement. The key factors in a great home will be safety, security, and someone with plenty of time for him!
