Cupcake is the mother of Chip, her cute dapple puppy. Both Cupcake and Chip are very closely bonded. Cupcake is the smaller, mostly white double-dapple dog whose birthday is listed (6/2/2015), and Chip, the dappled mix boy, was born 12/3/2016. The two are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together. Cupcake has a somewhat limited hearing range but it may just be that she doesn't always want to listen... Chip has no such behavior.

Basically it's a great relationship for both of them because it brings out their best behavior. The two play well, like to cuddle with people, and are learning house training very rapidly. Both are young, healthy, and curious explorers, so a safe and secure environment is a must- they'd slip through very small spaces and she can't hear you call. Also, while Chip is okay with leash walking, Cupcake isn't in love with it, so a home with a secure yard for off-leash, supervised restroom breaks would be a big help.

The pair is easier to care for than many single dogs we've worked with, although like most Dachshunds they are vocal so a single-family dwelling is in order. They are each as beautiful as a pair of young ones could be, and they are so soft to cuddle with!!!  The pair are fantastic pets but do not have a lot of patience for young children, so that's one more factor for an ideal placement.

Cupcake and Chip will need to be adopted together. They are so sweet and so cute they should be a real treat for the right adopter! To make things easier, both are completely vetted, healthy, and available at a special reduced rate!
