Max came to us as a young adult dog who has been allowed to become overweight and who also has some skin allergy problems, but he is otherwise healthy. He is basically sweet and he is a very good boy. He leash walks, has good house manners, and very much wants affection from the adult humans in his life. Max is a bit timid at first and takes some time when it comes to adapting to change, so he will do best in a home with adults (which is what he is used to). The weight problem will come under control quickly with proper diet and activity, and the allergies are nothing that can't be handled with seasonal medication. With good care and some TLC Max should be a great pet for many years to come! Experience with the breed is a plus, as is an adopter who has time to spend with Max.
