Olive is one of a litter of four pups who were surrendered to us when the mother dog's owner was no longer able to care for them. Mom is a beautiful Long-haired dapple Dachshund and we are not sure what dad was, but the best guess is that he was some kind of hound. The pups will be small dogs and are very Dachshund-like in personality and attitude, but their legs are longer than those of the typical Dachshund. The pups learn very fast and are making good progress with house training. They get along well with most other dogs and most people, but as with all pups, these babies will require a home where someone is there for enough time to raise them properly and with the patient, consistent love it takes to do the job right! Also, keep in mind these pups have never been alone and will do much better if they go to a home where there is a friendly companion dog to help them get acclimated and keep them from being lonely when their humans are busy or they just plain need doggie playtime!
