Freckles is young, cute, and seeking a forever home. He’s a sweet boy whose owners were no longer able to care for him. An unfortunate attempt to rehome him prior to his coming to our rescue revealed that he has some definite requirements.

On the Plus side:

1)    Freckles lives to love his humans and be cuddled, played with, walked, and loved. For that reason, he will do best where someone is home a lot and will be able to spend time with him.

2)    Freckles is young and healthy and wants to please- that includes house training, respectful play without any destructive chewing, etc.

3)    He is about the cutest little thing ever and is a great pet provided he feels secure and happy!

On the “Must Have for a Suitable Home” side:

1)    Freckles does not like cats and unfortunately got the losing end of a hostile relationship with one.

2)    Freckles needs a securely fenced yard for supervised play. He leash walks but is an explorer and can’t depend on dog parks for exercise (see number 3).

3)    Freckles does well with other small dogs who are very laid-back and not alpha. He is intimidated by larger dogs and assertive dogs and that, too, did not go well for him a short while ago.

4)    Freckles does great with gentle humans but has no love for the younger ones.
