Scarlett came to us with her littermate Ashley as new mothers. They had been abandoned by a breeder then taken to the shelter. Scarlett was in relatively good health and did not have heartworm like her sister, but she shares a background that left her somewhat shy around people. Scarlett is less skittish than Ashley. However, Scarlett has a slight limp that our vet says may be the result of a past injury. Nothing seems wrong at the moment, but as with people, dogs can have a sprain or strain that leaves behind some discomfort even after the injury is gone. Scarlett is very attached to Ashley, and to maintain their confidence we'd like to see them adopted as a pair. For the pair we are asking for a minimum of $250, but given the high cost of heartworm treatment (for Ashley), anything over that amount would be quite helpful.
