Tara is a special needs dog. She has had back surgery due to a spinal injury, and is unable to use her rear legs. Tara scoots around just fine on her front legs, and is quite comfortable getting around that way. Tara has maintained a wonderful attitude. She is the first to wag when someone comes to see her, loves to be petted, gives doggie kisses, enjoys belly rubs, and likes having physical therapy (working with the rear legs to maintain muscle tone). Tara is just about the nicest and prettiest dog anyone could ask for. She will need an adopter who is either knowledgeable or willing to learn about her disability, and patient enough to take care of her needs for a long time to come- her injury has no effect on her lifespan so there will probably be a lot of years ahead for her.
