Mattie is a vocal, strongly opinionated young lady. Mattie is a small dog, and has a lot of energy for play. She will chase and retrieve a tennis ball for as long as her fosters can keep going, and she will carry squeaky plush toys around with her everywhere she goes. Mattie can turn her entire body into a wiggly, waggly love puppy when she is affectionate, and will not hesitate to tell you if she's ready to be picked up and cuddled. Like many small Dachshunds, Mattie is equally quick to know what (or who) she doesn't like, so adopting her has to be a two-way relationship. She may not be quiet or even easy, but she's wonderfully loving if she chooses you. Mattie prefers to be the only dog, although she will get along with others when she likes them.
