Lori came to us with a litter of 1-day-old puppies when they were all dumped together in a box outside a shelter. We named Lori in honor of the wonderful Animal Control Officer who took her in right away, then got her immediately into rescue so she and her babies could go right to the vet for a checkup. Lori has been an excellent mother and a great pet, friendly to people throughout the whole time and always letting us handle the pups and socialize them. Lori is probably only a little over a year old, and now that her mothering days are behind her she is ready to be a family pet.
