My name is Mary. I was found with three other Dachshunds including Nicklaus in a home where my owner had passed away. It was very sad and confusing, but I'm doing much better now. The wonderful people who rescued me must really want me to be healthy for my new owners.  They treated me for heartworms, and have given me a lot of love and affection (and food) while I have gone through treatment.  My foster mama told me that now that I have no more heartworms, I even get to have my teeth cleaned.  I am super excited about that – she said it will make my new family LOVE my kisses even more!!!
Speaking of my foster mama – she tells me I am a super special girl.  She says that I may be small – but, my personality is GINORMOUS!  She calls me a snuggle bunny, and lets me sleep under the covers (so warm and cozy).  But – my favorite time with my foster mama is when I “sing” with her and my other friends at her house.  Boy, can I get all my friends to sing too – it is amazing!  I do have a secret – I can carry a tune much better than anyone else in the whole house!!  J
