AVAILABLE SOON: T.J. is a gorgeous little boy who was surrendered to us because
he has had very little socializing and is frightened around new people,
especially young  children. T.J. loves playing fetch with his stuffed animal or
ball, and he can do that almost all day! He wags and gets happy, and it's a good
way to get him to open up and trust you. However, slow and gentle is the key to
working with T.J. He has a good heart, is smart and learns fast, but T.J. will
require a knowledgeable and experienced adopter dedicated to reinforcing his
good progress and continuing his socialization. He is so young, cute, and
trainable that we feel he is well worth the effort. T.J. is making good progress
at socialization and has great potential, but he will probably never be good
with small children, and supervision will be required when introducing him to
new people to enable TJ's success.  For the record, T.J. has never actually hurt
anyone. We are working hard with T.J. to set guidelines while expanding his
world - he truly wants to learn! 

In his foster home he is relaxed, good with the other dogs and enjoys romping
and wrestling like other doxies - long walks are a good way to expose him to
other people and the world as well as drain some of that young dog energy.  TJ
enjoys baths and playing in the garden hose, chasing birds, squirrels and balls,
and treats.  Once he opens up to you, this little boy knows how to show
affection.
