Junior is one of two brothers rescued by one of our volunteers in the Abilene area. They came to her almost skin and bones, and she has done a great job of nursing them back to health. Junior is okay with other dogs, but had very few social skills when rescued. He took weeks just to be comfortable enough to jump up on the couch and sit with her on his own, and he adapts very slowly to new people. Junior does not leash walk- he prefers a secure yard for his exercise and restroom business. Junior is a work in progress and will take a patient person with the right environment in order to fully bloom. He is young enough to fully socialize and become a great pet, but it will take time. Because of his current needs Junior needs a home without a lot of new people coming and going, a steady routine, no apartments or young children, and mainly a loving, experienced owner.
