Zelda is a sweet little girl who was rescued from the Burleson Shelter where she was turned in as a stray. Zelda is about twelve years old but she sure doesn't look like it. Many Dachshunds live far longer than Zelda has - some of our group's seniors are already 18 and over! So... don't let Zelda's age discourage you from adoption. Senior dogs are some of the best pets in the world, especially if you are the kind of person that wants a devoted, loving, warm, and gorgeous little friend to keep you company and you don't have a tremendously active lifestyle. For the right person Zelda will be a wonderful pet!
