Lola was working on her "I'm cute, please adopt me!" pose at the shelter when she found out she had a mild case of heartworm. Since they aren't set up to treat that, she had to go to rescue instead. No loss there- Lola is loving the free world, her heartworm will be easily treated by our vet, and she can move on to a great home where she will be properly cared for (which includes regular heartworm preventative)!  This girl is short-legged, long-bodied, and big on love! Lola is a cutie with a heart of gold and she'll be a great pet. Just look at her- Lola is made for Love!
