Roger was at the Garland shelter with serious hair loss from fleas, bad teeth, very underweight, but sweet in spite of it all. Since we got him, he's had a dental and his mouth looks, feels, and smells great. He's been treated for fleas and has good groceries on board and is already starting to grow back some nice, soft fur. He's gaining a bit, has plenty of energy. Most important, Roger is still incredibly sweet! This is the nicest, easiest dog ever! Roger is great about house training, enjoys people-time, is okay with other dogs, and is a happy boy. Unfortunately, Roger also has heartworm. Not surprisingly his former "owner" didn't keep him on preventative. At his age and stage of life our veterinarian has recommended the slow kill method of treatment, which he has already started. Meanwhile, Roger hasn't figured out he's supposed to be a little on the old side or that he has any medical problems at all. He's active, loving, and as we mentioned, Happy!!! Roger is a great pet who deserves a great home!
