Pippin is a good looking senior who has had a good life so far despite some challenges along the way. He had developed some lumps which turned out to be benign. He had a successful back surgery years ago, although you'd never know it to see him in action. In other words, he's taken what life has dealt him and always maintained a happy, positive attitude. Now he's had to make another adjustment- Pippin is being rehomed because his owner is no longer able to care for him. Pippin is a bit skittish at first and on the shy side but a few "good dog" moments and patient love have allowed him to open up and feel comfortable again. Pippin needs to continue to gain self-confidence. He responds very well to praise and patience. He does need to be careful about his back, but that's good sense for any Dachshund. For the right home, this is one wonderful dog! He's a good boy who really needs his next home to be forever.
