My name is Carly. I came to a Dachshund rescue group along with a Dachshund. We were both surrendered by a woman who had lost everything including her home, and through no fault of my own I found myself needing a new home, too. I'm only a little over two years old, and I'm pretty active but I try to be easy to get along with. I'm small for a Basset, only about 40 pounds, although I do like my food! Right now I get to play with some Dachshunds and even a Chihuahua, but they sometimes get upset because I'm bigger than they are and I don't always understand that. Also, because I'm a Basset I can be a bit loud when I express myself. I don't howl or bark a lot for my breed, but I do make too much noise for an apartment! If I could go to my dream home it would be with someone who already knows and loves Basset hounds. It would be fun to have another Basset hound to play with and people who like to cuddle a lot (I sleep on people-beds when possible). I've been told I'm cute, and I sure do want to find a good forever home soon!
