UPDATE June 6, 2013: Ariel is being treated for demodex, a non-contagious, non-life threatening form of mange that can recur.  She will finish her medication the end of July and then continue on with a diet of non-allergenic food.

Ariel is an active, spirited little girl who has an opinion about everything and makes it known!  She thrives on attention and lets people know when she thinks it's time for her to have more of it!  Ariel gets along very well with other active Dachshunds as long as they like to play.  She & her foster sister Franie are best friends and love to play, play, play!  As their foster mom says, "They keep this house hopping!!"  Ariel is very sweet with people; she’s never met a stranger!  Her legs are a little long for a Dachshund, and we don't really know what may be in her family tree, but we do know that Ariel is 100% sweet!  She’s an active girl, so she needs a home with an active lifestyle so she can channel her energy constructively.  In fact, if you’re interested in adopting a pair, she and Franie would make a great duo and we’d be happy to talk about a special adoption fee for the two of them.
