Lydia is one of a litter of pups who came to DLT with their mother at just three weeks old. She is the most fearless and outgoing of the bunch. Lydia, like some dapples, is moderately hearing impaired. She hears some things but not well. Fortunately she doesn't know she's supposed to be any diffferent so it doesn't bother her. She can see, although one eye works better than the other. As long as her owner knows that you can't call her unless she sees you she really won't have any special needs. The babies are large for their age so they'll probably be "tweenie" sized when full grown. All are healthy, happy, and very socialized. They are already learning house training, but like all babies, these pups will need someone who is home a lot to work with them. It would also be very helpful if there's a slightly older Dachshund in their adoptive home who can help them learn and keep them from being lonely. If someone is interested in adopting a pair we can discuss a special reduced rate. All the pups have had shots, are on heartworm preventative, are altered, have a microchip, and have been thoroughly checked out by our vet. They're long, low, loving, and young- if you have the time, patience, and experience these babies may be the right ones for you!
