Soleil (pronounced "so LAY", French for the Sun) is a star, bright and beautiful! This young little lady is very people-friendly, does well with most other dogs, and has good manners. Soleil came to us with a light case of heartworm, which we have treated recently. At her young age there should be no after effects or problems at all; she will just need to start using regular monthly preventatives like every other Dachshund. As with all young dogs, we show preference to placement with someone with time to spend with her and experience with young ones. Also, Soleil definitely needs a dog playmate of similar age and temperament and a secure yard to run and play in (while supervised, of course).
