November 10, 2020: It is with a heavy heart that we announce that DLT alum Frodo has crossed the rainbow bridge. His adopters gave him the best times of his life and are devastated at his passing. We are grateful that he had the opportunity to be a part of their family, and we wish them peace and comfort in their loss. Run free, Frodo, you are dearly loved and will be missed...❤️ January 31, 2014: Angel Renee came to us with multiple medical problems - large bladder stones, mammary tumors, dental disease. We took care of all of these issues and Angel Renee was a happy girl again. Not long after she was in foster care she was diagnosed with Cushing's Disease, and if that weren't enough to deal with, she was also diagnosed with Cancer. Her foster family made it their mission to give her as much quality time as possible. They showered her with love and lots of TLC, and Angel Renee had several wonderful months with them. Run free, sweet girl, you are now truly an Angel. January 28, 2014: Gwen was rescued from the Arlington shelter in extremely frail condition after she'd been surrendered by her owner. We rushed her straight to our vet where she was given expert care. Extensive testing and ultrasounds revealed multiple tumors throughout her abdomen and her organs were beginning to fail. The most merciful thing we could do for her was to end her suffering. Gwen was the sweetest little girl and she was surrounded by love when she passed. We love you Gwen and know you are pain-free with a full belly at the Rainbow Bridge. January 23, 2014 - Amber was just 11 weeks old when we rescued her from the Humane Society of N Texas. She had a severe heart murmur due to a congenital heart defect. She was immediately seen by a specialist who deemed her a candidate for surgery. Her little heart just couldn't overcome the problems she was born with and she passed peacefully during surgery. Run free little Amber! You were a strong little girl and we all love & miss you very much. August 5, 2013 - Roody, lovingly known as Roody-Toots by his adopters, was a senior when he was adopted from DLT by Terry and Rick. Roody hadn't always had an easy life, but that changed rapidly in his new home. Roody's family made sure he was healthy and happy, with a relaxed and caring household, and most of all, the love of wonderful people. We are so glad that Roody was able to be a part of their family. Thank you Terry and Rick for sharing your lives and love with Roody-Toots. Run free, Roody, you are loved and missed. Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
