July 8, 2013 - It is with great sadness that we post our last update for Harley today. His severe diabetes and advanced age, complicated by other medical issues, became more than he could deal with so we had to let him cross the bridge. Harley was loved by all who met him, and his foster mom made every moment he spent with her something to hold on to and to cherish. Rest in peace, Harley. August 14, 2012 - Chloe was a sweet, cute little girl who had been the victim of neglect and malnutrition. Because of her weakened condition and lack of any vaccinations Chloe was unable to resist distemper, a deadly viral condition that could have been preventable if her owners had only gotten her vaccinated and taken good care of her. Chloe was rescued and given all the intervention possible but she just didn’t have the strength to overcome the virus and passed away. We are so glad Chloe had the chance to learn that not all people are bad. She was loved, trusted her caregivers, and was at peace when she passed away. R.I.P. Chloe, and thank you for giving us your love. July 21, 2012 - Baby was a cute lady whose original owner passed away. Baby came into our rescue program at a little over twelve years old. Baby was not in great health, but she was very grateful to have loving foster care. Our time with Baby turned out to be all too brief. She developed serious heart problems as well as related issues with her other functions and crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We are grateful to Baby for sharing her remaining time with us. June 14, 2012 - Harrison was a long-term foster who was a very loyal, loving boy. Harrison had degenerative bone issues in his mouth as well as having lost his teeth. He put up a great fight, keeping infection at bay for a long time with the help of antibiotics and always maintaining a great attitude. In the end it was cancer that got the best of Harrison, but we will always remember his love of all things, especially people. May 23, 2012 - Titan had a big name for such a little dog. Titan had many immune deficiency related problems when we rescued him. He tried very hard to get over mange, infections, and malnutrition. Titan made a valiant effort but it just wasn’t enough to keep him from crossing the Rainbow Bridge. Titan will be missed but not forgotten. Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
